Butter Croissant

I had this on a visit to San Francisco and couldn’t believe it was gluten free! We placed an order and they were every bit as delicious as the ones we enjoyed by the bay. It’s a great way to not feel deprived in the gluten free world and bring a little bit of SF home to Colorado.

I recently received my order of gluten-free croissants, and I am delighted with them! As soon as they arrived, I put them in the freezer. After thawing one, I placed it in the toaster oven and enjoyed it with a cup of coffee. I loved the buttery flavor and the texture of the croissant. Many gluten-free products tend to have a cardboard-like texture, but this felt like a real croissant—only better! I can't recommend them enough.

We loved the croissants. I heated them slightly in the microwave but they were still nice and flaky.

The crossiants are delicious warmed up a little.

Mariposa Baking Co. is truly a gluten-free gem! I’ve tried so many gluten-free products over the years, and their six-pack pizza crusts are hands-down the best-tasting GF pizza crusts I’ve found. They have great flavor and texture and don’t feel like you’re settling for a gluten-free substitute.

The butter croissants are another favorite—fluffy, buttery, and delicious without being overly oily or heavy. But the biggest surprise for me was the soft pretzel in the bakery. It genuinely reminded me of the soft pretzels I used to enjoy before having to go gluten-free because of celiac disease. Finding something that brings back that taste and experience is such a treat!

Mariposa does an amazing job creating gluten-free baked goods that actually taste like the foods you remember. Absolutely worth five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had not ordered these flaky yummy croissants in a long time. My mom surprised me for my birthday. They did not disappoint. Sooooo good.

My shipment did arrive late (was supposed to be in the morning and arrived late evening, maybe blame Fedex) and was thawed when I got it. I found these croissants to not have the flaky texture as promised. Much more like a bread roll inside. Flavor was good but not the croissant I'd hoped for given the other reviews. Warmed in the toaster oven as recommended.

For the best result, I suggest slicing in half and toasting it. Toasting it or warming it up brings out the flakiness and the best texture, in my opinion.

So happy. Great flavor will be buying more! I visited San Francisco location and enjoyed one of these in person. So happy to recreate the same experience at home. Cannot say how much I appreciate quality gluten free options that your bakery offers. Big hugs and love sent to everyone at this bakery.

I love the quality of Mariposa's bakery. These are hands down the best GF croissants I have ever had. Truly buttery (a la francaise) and flakey. The almond horns were reminiscent of Eastern European bakeries I was able to frequent before identifying my allergy - with just the right sweetness.

Wonderfully yummy!! Just warm and add a swipe of butter or fill with sliced meat. Either way, they’re the best I’ve tasted!!

I initially found another GF company advertising free croissants but was disappointed to find out the free croissants were not GF. This started me on a search to find GF croissants and I found Mariposa. These were soooo delicious and taste like regular croissants! I know some people complained about them being oily but that is just natural with croissants. I would not say they’re overly greasy. They taste even better warmed in the air fryer so it crisps the tops. They are great alone or used as a turkey sandwich. I always add these to my order when restocking.

This is the ONLY GF croissant that is like an authentic croissant! It is moist inside firm on the outside, and breaks apart perfectly. Most importantly, it is delicious! Thank you.

My husband and mom are not gluten free, but even they can't believe how good these are or that they're actually GF! So buttery, flaky yet doughy inside in the best way. From Chicago but have already ordered twice and will absolutely continue to do so because nothing compares!!

I have always enjoyed all the gluten free bakery items I have ordered from your company. They are one of the best gluten free products out there. I recently purchased your gluten free croissants for first time, unfortunately I was VERY disappointed. I did read your description that the gluten free croissants were made with butter, however, the inside dough was so saturated in butter that it tasted creasy and had a undesirable texture. I actually through them away.

The secret to these is making sure if you’re taking them out of the freezer that you give them enough time in the toaster oven so the insides are warm. Typically, I put it on reheat for 15 minutes. They are absolutely delicious so delicate with the layers. I have a hard time when I put them in the freezer not leaving them all out to eat all in one day.

The products I purchased were a gift to a friend. She had been raving that the things she has tried so far (croissants and corn muffins) are the best she has ever tasted!

I love your croissants and I order them every week. Unfortunately my last order included a croissant with a small plastic strip in the dough which I almost eat. That has put me off a bit from ordering more croissants for awhile

I’ve ordered these several times and raved about them! This time they are very crumbly and just falling apart. I don’t know what changed but they are so different than all the others I’ve ordered.
They sent me new croissants and these are much better. Not sure if it was a bad batch or just something happened during the travel time. Thank you Mariposa!

So they are good, but mine came not fully cooked in the middle. I am bummed out about this. I do eat the outside part and just pitch the uncooked middle portion.

I ordered this twice now and enjoyed them. The texture is just right, not too chewy, not dry and really good with butter and jam for a snack or breakfast.

The croissants were a gift for a friend who is GF. She loved them. Her 1 1/2 year old ate a whole one on her own. They were a big hit!!

The holy grail of gluten free is the croissant. Mariposa has the best I’ve had.
