Our Country Batard is a fantastic artisan loaf.  Made with egg whites and our homemade, lightly toasted sunflower seed flour, we think this is a great bread for French Toast, Avocado Toast and good 'ol PB&J. 

Please Note: Bread should be toasted to serve.  Will not taste as good without toasting.

Ingredients

Water, GF flour blend (tapioca starch, org brown rice flour, potato starch, org amaranth flour), egg whites, org palm oil, sunflower seed flour, org unrefined cane sugar, xanthan gum, yeast, sea salt, beet fiber, apple cider vinegar and ascorbic acid.

Allergens

Contains eggs and sunflower seeds. Our artisan bakery also creates products with dairy, tree nuts, soy and sesame.

Storage and Handling

Enjoy fresh, refridgerate up to 1 week or freeze up to 3 months.

Tastes great!

I love the taste, texture, and crunchy crust of the country batard. Reminds me of sourdough bread. Makes eating sandwiches exciting again!

Love the country batard. I live in the Los Angeles area so I usually wait for a family member to visit Lafayette. She visits the Oakland Bakery for me. Normally, I request the skinny baguettes. Next time, she visits, I’m requesting a few Country Batards. Very versatile. Love that when toasted, it is almost identical to sourdough with gluten. Not sure which I love more the Cinnamon Bread or the Country Batard. Or, the Sandwich Rolls.

I order the country batard every time I order from Mariposa… it’s got a great taste and I’ve not found any decent gluten free bread that is better for a quick piece of toast or great sandwich! Love it! Thanks Mariposa.

We love this rustic bread for sandwiches and toast. Crispy crust on the outside gives a nice crunch, and soft bread on the inside. It is especially good when toasted. I've been starting to order a few loaves/month's supply at a time and freezing.
